The SAG-AFTRA Foundation

Proceeds from The Actor Awards benefit the nonprofit SAG-AFTRA Foundation, the sole beneficiary of the awards show. Each year, Actor Awards sponsors also contribute a portion of their overall financial commitment to the Foundation, helping support its mission and programs.
   

FREE RESOURCES FOR EVERYONE
The SAG-AFTRA Foundation provides free educational resources that reach audiences around the world. Its YouTube channel features the largest online archive of in-depth actor interviews, offering an unparalleled resource for performers, students of the craft, and fans of film and television.

The Foundation also produces Storyline Online®, its Emmy Award-winning children’s literacy program, which features celebrated actors reading beloved children’s books to promote a love of reading in millions of children globally.

SUPPORTING SAG-AFTRA PERFORMERS
The Foundation also provides SAG-AFTRA performers with free career-building programs, educational opportunities and emergency financial assistance during times of crisis.

Each year, more than 40,000 attendees participate in over 8,000 free professional programs offered in person and online. The Foundation also operates state-of-the-art creative centers, including the Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists in Los Angeles and the Robin Williams Center in New York, while providing virtual programming to performers nationwide.

The Foundation also provides emergency assistance and disaster relief to performers in urgent need, granting more than $33 million in aid over the past four decades.
