UPDATE ON THE SAG AWARDS NAME - 11/14

Beginning with the 32nd annual ceremony, the show will be officially known as The Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA. This evolution aligns the show’s name with our iconic statuette, The Actor®, while continuing to celebrate actors honoring actors in film and television.

To help with the transition, the legacy name Screen Actors Guild Awards will remain in use for the duration of your Nom Comm service.

  • You will continue to be referred to as the SAG Awards Motion Picture Nominating Committee and use your existing Nom Comm card.

  • You will continue to receive For Your Consideration and voting materials referencing the “Screen Actors Guild Awards” or “SAG Awards.”

  • Categories are not changing. You will continue to consider performances in the following categories:
    • Female Actor in a TV Movie or Limited Series
    • Male Actor in a TV Movie or Limited Series
    • Female Actor in a Drama Series
    • Male Actor in a Drama Series
    • Female Actor in a Comedy Series
    • Male Actor in a Comedy Series
    • Ensemble in a Drama Series
    • Ensemble in a Comedy Series
    • Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series

The prestige and tradition of the Screen Actors Guild Awards remain unchanged — only the show’s title is evolving to reflect its next chapter on Netflix.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE SERVICE

The SAG Awards Television Nominating Committee is newly drawn each year. The committee is selected from a random, computer-generated lottery of active, paid-up members. Your service on the "Nom Comm" will conclude at the close of nominations voting on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 5pm PT.

Members selected to serve on the 32nd Annual SAG Awards Television Nom Comm are not eligible to serve on the same committee again for 8 years. This allows more SAG-AFTRA members the opportunity to serve on this important committee. Only 2,500 members serve on the Television Nominating Committee each year. Your dues are not used to produce the Actor Awards, and service on the SAG Awards Nominating Committee is deemed a privilege. See Nominating Committee rules HERE.

AWARDS PIN & NOMINATING COMMITTEE CARD

Your Awards PIN is a 7-digit alphanumeric code that is unique to you. This PIN is your key to unlocking digital FYC options sent by the studios and networks and voting online to select nominees for the 32nd Annual Actor Awards. You can retrieve your Awards PIN anytime in your Nom Comm Dashboard.

Your digital Nom Comm card identifies you as a member of the Television Nominating Committee. This card can be printed or downloaded and shown on your phone to admit you screenings, Q&As, and FYC events hosted by the studios/networks and allow for priority seating.

You can find your digital Nom Comm card attached to your Confirmation of Service email. Should you lose your Nom Comm card, you can resend it to yourself anytime in your Nom Comm Dashboard.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: All information provided is confidential and NOT to be shared. Sharing your Awards PIN, Nominating Committee access, or Nom Comm card with anyone is strictly prohibited.  Any violation of this rule could result in your immediate removal from present or future Nominating Committees, jeopardize final voting eligibility and eligibility to receive For Your Consideration materials, as well as subject you to union disciplinary charges.

VOTING

You have access to lists of all eligible performances for Actor Awards consideration in your Nom Comm Dashboard. We suggest you consider your selections in advance and wait to complete your online ballot until you feel comfortable that you have reviewed enough films to vote.

Voting for the Actor Awards IS OPEN and needs to be done solely online. You will need a computer, tablet, or phone, and an internet connection to complete voting.

You can access the online voting portal here.

Please note, DVDs, digital screeners, and FYC event invitations will continue to be sent through the voting deadline.

Nominations voting closes on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 5:00pm PT.

Actors may submit their own performances for consideration in categories of their choosing. With the actor’s permission, producers, studios/networks, agents, managers, or publicists may also submit performances for consideration. If you do not see a performer listed, it is possible that their project was not eligible, or that they were not submitted.

FYC MATERIALS

You will receive For Your Consideration (FYC) mailings and emails from the studios and networks with access to view their TV programs. As no membership dues are used to send digital screeners to Nominating Committee members, the cost of doing so is left to the studios. We encourage every studio to make their projects available, but we cannot require them to do so.

TV programs will only be available through digital screeners.

Digital screeners will be made available to all members of the Nominating Committee. You will receive email notifications for all digital streaming options. Your Awards PIN will be your login for digital screeners unless otherwise noted.

EVENTS & Q&As

Throughout the nominations period, studios will invite Nom Comm members to attend FYC events, Q&As, and screenings.

Though attendance at these events is not mandatory, we encourage you to take part in as many as possible to learn more about the TV programs for consideration.

Invitations and RSVPs
You will receive event invitations via email and can RSVP directly to the studio hosting the event. Read your email invitations carefully. They will include important timing, details, and how to RSVP.

Some events can fill quickly, please respond promptly with your RSVP. If you RSVP to a screening and realize you cannot attend, you MUST cancel, rather than just not show up. You can do so by responding to the cancellation email address provided on each invitation.

When you’re invited to a screening with a Q&A, please consider your fellow performers when you RSVP and plan to view the show in its entirety and the Q&A following. Typically Q&As run about 30 to 45 minutes.
