NOMINATING COMMITTEE SERVICE
The Actor Awards Motion Picture Nominating Committee is newly drawn each year. The committee is selected from a random, computer-generated lottery of active, paid-up members. Your service on the 'Nom Comm' will conclude at the close of nominations voting on Sunday, January 3, 2027, at 5pm PT.
Members selected to serve on the Motion Picture Nom Comm are not eligible to serve on the same committee again for 8 years. This allows more SAG-AFTRA members the opportunity to serve on this important committee. Only 2,500 members serve on the Motion Picture Nominating Committee each year. Your dues are not used to produce the Actor Awards, and service on the Actor Awards Nominating Committee is deemed a privilege. See Nominating Committee rules HERE.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: All information provided is confidential and NOT to be shared. Sharing your Awards PIN, Nominating Committee access, or Nom Comm card with anyone is strictly prohibited. Any violation of this rule could result in your immediate removal from present or future Nominating Committees, jeopardize final voting eligibility and eligibility to receive For Your Consideration materials, as well as subject you to union disciplinary charges.
AWARDS PIN
Your Awards PIN is a 7-digit alphanumeric code that is unique to you. This PIN is your key to unlock digital FYC options sent by the studios and vote online to select nominees for the 33rd Annual Actor Awards. You can retrieve your Awards PIN anytime in your Nom Comm Dashboard.
NOMINATING COMMITTEE CARD
Digital Nom Comm cards will become available in your Nom Comm Dashboard the week of July 27th.
Your digital Actor Awards Nom Comm card identifies you as a member of the Motion Picture Nominating Committee. This card can be printed or saved to your digital wallet for event check-in and verification at screenings, Q&As, and FYC events hosted by the studios.
VOTING
Voting for the Actor Awards is conducted exclusively online.
Beginning November 30, 2026, you will have access to the official nominations ballot listing all eligible submissions in each category. All materials distributed by the Actor Awards will relate only to eligible submitted performances.
Online voting opens on Monday, December 14th, and closes on Sunday, January 3rd at 5pm PT.
Actors may submit their own performances for consideration in categories of their choosing. With the actor’s permission, producers, studios/networks, agents, managers, or publicists may also submit performances for consideration. If you do not see a performer listed, it is possible that their project was not eligible, or that they were not submitted.
FYC MATERIALS
You will receive For Your Consideration (FYC) mailings and emails from the studios with access to view their films. As no membership dues are used to send DVDs and digital screeners to Nominating Committee members, the cost of doing so is left to the studios. We encourage every studio to make their projects available, but we cannot require them to do so.
Films may be available on digital screener, DVD, or both. Ultimately, the Actor Awards do not make these decisions. Each studio will decide on a film-by-film basis.
To keep track of what has been sent thus far, please visit DVDs and Digital Screeners.
Digital Screeners
Digital screeners will be made available to all members of the Nominating Committee. You will receive email notifications for all digital streaming options.
All digital screeners will be made available on Actors FYC by logging in with your Awards PIN. There are dedicated Actors FYC apps for Apple TV, iPad, Roku, and Amazon Firestick devices. Please search for Actors FYC (developed by Indee) in your device's app/channel store and install/add the app/channel and use your designated access code there.
DVDs
You have the option to opt in for DVD mailings in your Nom Comm Dashboard. DVDs will be mailed through our Union mailing house to the Nom Comm members who opted in to receive them. You must respect the studios’ copyright policies and piracy laws. It is up to the studio how they make their titles available, and not all titles will be available on DVD.
EVENTS & Q&As
Throughout the nominations period, studios will invite Nom Comm members to attend FYC events, Q&As, and screenings.
Though attendance at these events is not mandatory, we encourage you to take part in as many as possible to learn more about the films for consideration.
Invitations and RSVPs
You will receive event invitations via email and can RSVP directly to the studio hosting the event. Read your email invitations carefully. They will include important timing, details, and how to RSVP.
Some events can fill quickly, so please respond promptly with your RSVP.
When you’re invited to a screening with a Q&A, please consider your fellow performers when you RSVP and plan to view the film in its entirety and the Q&A following. Typically, Q&As run about 30 to 45 minutes.
No-Show Policy
To ensure fair access to screenings and FYC events, the following attendance policy will apply:
- If you RSVP to a screening and realize you cannot attend, you MUST cancel, rather than just not show up. You can do so by responding to the cancellation email address provided on each invitation.
- A no-show occurs when a member RSVPs for an event but does not attend and fails to cancel less than twelve (12) hours in advance.
- Three (3) no-shows will result in a written warning.
- Four (4) no-shows will result in placement on event probation and suspension from receiving event invitations for two (2) weeks.
Priority Admission
As a Motion Picture Nominating Committee member, you will receive priority admission to Motion Picture Nominating Committee screenings and events when you present your digital Nominating Committee card. Upon arrival, please look for a designated Nominating Committee line if available, or identify yourself to screening staff for assistance.
Occasionally, you may receive invitations to Television screenings if you are registered for the Actor Awards RSVP program. Please note that, because you are serving on the Motion Picture Nominating Committee, you will not receive priority admission to these events. Priority access is reserved for Television Nominating Committee members, and entry for other attendees is subject to availability.
Accessibility
If you have ADA accommodation requests, please contact the Awards Office, and our team will reach out to the studio hosting the event.
